Jida Zhang

Practice Areas

Jida joined the firm in 2007 as a summer student. Upon his graduation in 2008, he returned to the firm to work as an articling student (trainee lawyer). As an articling student Jida has assisted our lawyers in various practice areas including corporate/commercial, intellectual property, real estate, and civil litigation matters.

Practice in China

Before he came to Canada, Jida practiced law in China for several years with Jun He Law Offices, one of China’s leading corporate law firms. His practice in China was focused on commercial transactions, securities law, real estate, and intellectual property. He also worked as a clerk of commercial court in a major Chinese city for one year.

• Ontario Bar Association (Student Member)

Credentials

Jida received his J.D. degree from Queen’s University. He also holds a LL.M. degree in Comparative Law from the University of British Columbia and a LL.B. degree in Civil Law from the Dalian Maritime University, China.

While at Queen’s, Jida participated in a number of extracurricular activities such as competitive mooting, pro bono projects, and legal aid clinic.

Jida is fluent in Mandarin.
